The Los Angeles Women’s Theatre Project, was established in 2007 as a 501c3 non profit whose mission is to advocate, educate and create opportunities for women in the Performing Arts. 

This year we are teaming up with the global initiative V-Day  to help raise funds and support a global activist movement to end violence against all women and girls (cisgender, transgender & gender non-conforming).

We are working with the Palm Springs and Coachella Valley communities to do our part on a local level by producing a production of Eve Ensler’s, The Vagina Monologues, which will benefit The Coachella Valley Sexual Assault Services, located in Palm Desert.

V-Day

V-Day 2018. Is celebrating it’s 20th Anniversary in the movement to end violence against women and girls.  
Twenty years ago, women's reactions to The Vagina Monologues launched V-Day.   V-Day activists stage benefit productions of The Vagina Monologues and A Memory, A Monologue, A Rant, and A Prayer, during the month of February, in their colleges and communities to raise funds and awareness for local anti-violence groups, including rape crisis center, domestic violence shelters in order to galvanize community action around ending violence against women

Today, the movement - and the V-Day activists worldwide at its core - is more active than ever, producing art for social change, activating communities & colleges, raising crucial funds for rape crisis shelters, domestic violence shelters, local programs for transgender youth at risk of sexual violence, for immigrant women and girls, and so many more reflecting the needs of their communities.

Coachella Valley Sexual Assault Services, provides advocacy to rape victims and individual and family members at no cost.
The center also provides emergency food, clothing, and housing to victims who are without necessities because of the violent crime.
We provide counseling services to victims and to family members of sexual assault.
We also provide education presentations to the public and service providers in the community.

All services are free and confidential.
